Object of the invention
The object of the present invention is a novel method of manufacturing an acoustic insulator, which uses an industrial waste for its manufacture, polyester textile fibers from the granulation process of out-of-use tires or NFU, thereby reducing the cost of NFU management and its negative impact on the environment.
Background of the invention
The tires are toroidal pieces of rubber that are incorporated into the wheels of various vehicles and machines, their main function is to ensure proper contact, through friction and adhesion, between the vehicle and the pavement. They are made of rubber, to which many chemical compounds are added to increase their adhesion, resistance and durability, textile fibers and metal fibers.
When the tires are discarded, becoming the so-called out-of-use tires or NFU, they generate a great environmental problem because they need hundreds of years for their natural degradation. After the appearance of environmental legislation related to the management of the NFU, various applications have been developed for recycling and use, among which we can mention the retreading, its use as fuel, especially in cement plants, use in road signatures in or on the tracks and pavements of sports or children's facilities, in civil works and as vibration insulator.

Textile fibers, which are contaminated by adhered pieces of rubber, are mainly made of cotton, nylon and polyester, and during the final phase of the granulation of the NFU they are separated by suction or centrifugal equipment and subsequently classified by their material.
Until the development of the present invention, textile fibers, which are approximately 5% of the NFU, were only used as fuel, mainly in cement plants or in the manufacture of carpets.
The present invention recommends a method of obtaining a novel acoustic insulator from the textile fibers of the NFUs developed to help eliminate the environmental problem of the NFUs.
Description of the invention
The method of manufacturing an acoustic insulator from out-of-use tires, which is the object of the present invention, comprises the following steps:
a) Reception of polyester textile fibers from granules of out-of-use tires,
b) Crushing of polyester textile fibers for homogenization, obtaining a powdery mixture of polyester and rubber fibers,
c) Adding a powder melting adhesive to powder mixture obtained in step b),
d) Mixing and homogenization of the powder melt adhesive with the powder mixture,
e) Filling the molds with the mixture obtained in step d), the shape of said molds is the negative of the predetermined shape of the acoustic insulator,
f) Control of the density of the mixture poured into the molds and acceptance of those mixtures whose density is a predetermined value, preferably of approximately 250 kg / m3,
g) Furnace heating at the melting temperature of the powder melt adhesive for approximately one hour,
h) Cooling for approximately two hours,

i) Demolition of the acoustic insulation with the default shape.
Protection is also claimed for the acoustic insulation obtained by the procedure described above whose density is preferably 250 kg / m3.
Preferred embodiment
A preferred embodiment of the manufacturing process of an acoustic insulator from out-of-use tires, comprising the following steps, is described below:
a) Reception of polyester textile fibers from granules of out-of-use tires,
b) Adding polypropylene fibers to polyester textile fibers, the objective of adding polypropylene fibers is to increase the mechanical strength of the acoustic insulation,
c) Crushing of polyester and polypropylene textile fibers for homogenization, obtaining a powdery mixture of polyester fibers, polypropylene and rubber fibers,
d) Adding a powder melting adhesive to powder mixture obtained in step c),
e) Mixing and homogenization of the powder melt adhesive with the powder mixture,
f) Filling the molds with the mixture obtained in step d), the shape of said molds is the negative of the predetermined shape of the acoustic insulator,
g) Control of the density of the mixture poured into the molds and acceptance of those mixtures whose density is approximately 250 kg / m3,
h) Furnace heating at the melting temperature of the powder melt adhesive for approximately one hour,
i) Cooling for approximately two hours,
j) Unmold the acoustic insulation with the default shape.
The use of the process object of the present invention and of the acoustic insulator obtained by it has as main advantages the use of a residue from the granules of the NFU, which was only used as fuel in cement plants,
avoiding the emission of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere and its use in a product that reduces the cost of managing tires out of use.

1. Procedure for manufacturing an acoustic insulator from out-of-use tires characterized in that it comprises the following stages:
to. Reception of polyester textile fibers from granules of out-of-use tires,
b. Crushing of polyester textile fibers obtaining for homogenization,
C. Adding a powder adhesive to crushed polyester textile fibers,
d. Mixing and homogenization of the powder adhesive with the crushed textile fibers,
